The Lay Of The Land: Understanding Paraguay's Most Important Regions

Interesting one today - I wrote this with the intention of giving you all a good overview of why Paraguay is an ultra-investable market for those of us who understand that to protect and grow our wealth, we need to look beyond the borders of our home countries.

Asunción: Unlocking Opportunities

When it comes to what’s happening in Asunción, the real story is what’s happening just outside of it in Nueva Asunción… and here’s why: 

Young professionals who work in the city of Asuncion can’t afford to live there. 

Land prices have skyrocketed, and the cost of apartments has become out of reach for most working-class individuals.

So here is where things get interesting… I’d like to introduce you to Nueva Asuncion. Here is what it is all about:

On one side, you have Argentina.

On the other, a river.

And because of how the land is laid out, development has continually been pushed further away from the city center, forcing people into ridiculously long commutes just to make a living.

But that’s all changing now due to some key infrastructure advancements. 

A newly built bridge has been built that connects this new region, Nueva Asunción, to the city center of Asuscion.  Suddenly, this area that was once seen as just an “outer district” is now only a 7-minute drive from the heart of Asunción. 

And now, guess what… young professionals, new businesses, and real estate are starting to flock here as they have recognized what’s coming.

Nueva Asunción isn’t just another neighbourhood within the capital - it’s its own municipality with forward-thinking leadership, designed from the ground up to support long-term growth.

They know this area is going to take years to fully develop, but for those who get in now, the returns could be astronomical.

In just a few years, the transformation will be undeniable, and prices will reflect that.

This is exactly the type of market where wealth is created, one where the writing is already on the wall, but the masses haven’t caught on yet.

Ciudad del Este: The Energy Powerhouse Driving Growth

Over the last several decades, Ciudad del Este has cemented itself as one of the fastest-growing commercial and logistical hubs in all of South America, thanks to its energy dominance and cross-border trade with Brazil.
